A telescopic cover for covering industrial machines which has blades that slide following the movable mechanism of the main spindle head or the like of an industrial machine. The telescopic cover (1) formed by slidably laminating a number of partial covers (2a - 2d) of thin metal sheet, wherein a blade (3) of ultrathin metal sheet, 0.01 - 0.3 mm thick, is fixed to a part or the whole of the surface of the slide portion of the end of each partial cover, so that such blades are slidable as they are pressed against the slide surfaces of the partial covers of the telescopic cover. Further, it is also possible to fix a number of such blades to a part or the whole of each of the surfaces of the slide portions at the ends of the partial covers at intervals of 1 - 5 mm. This arrangement prevents chips, cutting water or the like from entering the telescopic cover, while retaining the smooth slidability of the movable mechanism of an industrial machine, ensuring reduced frictional resistance of the blades, and improved durability, slidability and sealability.
