The high-frequency motor spindle (10) for a machine tool com-prises a component (50, 52) which consists of a material with high heat conductivity and surrounds the respective winding unit (28, 30). This component has an outer surf-ace (54) in contact with the cooling element (34) and an inner surface (56) close to the spindle shaft (12) or elements (20, 60) rotating together with the shaft. The free space between the component (50, 52) and the winding unit (28, 30) is filled with a material (62) with high heat conductivity.
