The connection and switching device has the data lines to be connected coupled to a first interface and the switched data lines coupled to a second interface, with the connected data lines coupled to matrix column lines (S1,..Sn) applied to an insulating substrate and the switched data lines coupled to the matrix row lines (Z1,..Zn) applied to a second insulating substrate. Metal contact pins (3) are used for providing the connections between the row and column lines, by insertion in openings in a spacer plate between the substrates.
