The device for the production of liquid fuels from wood, residues and carbonizable materials comprises carbonizing containers, combustion chambers and a distillation device. The combustion chamber is sealed at the upper end with honeycomb catalysts made of combustion catalysts and the materials are mixed in the distillation device with catalysts which are introduced into the carbonizing containers after contamination and sluicing. An Independent claim is also included for the production of liquid fuels from wood, residues and carbonizable materials using the above device. Preferred Features: The honeycomb catalysts comprise or are in a mixture of lanthanum, cobalt, precious metals and silicates.
