An input and/or output interface of at least one of processing units constituting a data processor is specified independently of the timing at which the processing unit performs a processing, and hence various data path s are defined at the program level by processing units. Thus complex data processings are flexibly performed at high rate by hardware without using various dedicated circuits specialized for the data processings.
