ABRASIVE MATERIAL COMPRISING ELONGATE ABRASIVE BODIES

An abrasive material comprises a mass of coherent elongate abrasive bodies wherein each body is polycrystalline and comprises a mass of ultra-hard abrasive particles, such as diamond or cubic boron nitride, bonded into a coherent form, and wherein the average aspect ratio of the bodies is 1.5 or greater. There is also disclosed a method of producing the abrasive material.
