<p>A plug lock (12) is set forth. The plug lock (12) is provided in an electrical outlet assembly having first and second receptacles (19) and an outlet cover plate (18). The plug lock (16) includes first and second receptacle apertures (30) and a central bore (34), provided between the first and second receptacles and adapted to selectively receive a center screw (16). The plug lock includes a generally S-shaped plug lock member (12). An aperture (14) is provided in the plug lock member (12), and is adapted to selectively receive the center screw (16). A method of securing an electrical plug or a receptable blocking member to the electrical outlet assembly is also set forth. The electrical outlet assembly includes first and second receptacles (19) and an outlet cover plate (18). The outlet cover plate includes first and second receptacle apertures (30) and a central bore (34), provided between the first and second receptacles and adapted to selectively receive a center screw (16). The method includes the following steps. First, the center screw (16) is removed from the outlet cover plate. Next, a plug lock member (12) including first and second plug apertures (30), first and second cord apertures (32) and a plug central bore (34). The elongated screw (16) is secured in the central bore (34) of the outlet cover plate (16). An electrical plug or a receptacle blocking member (22) is then inserted into one of the first and second plug apertures (32) of the plug lock member (12). Finally, the elongated screw (16) is tightened.</p> |
