A detergent composition for a plastic lens, and a method for preparing a plastic lens by using the detergent composition are provided to remove the material adhered to a plastic lens completely and to improve emulsifying power. A detergent composition for a plastic lens comprises 3-8 wt% of an alkali; 8-18 wt% of an alkyl glycoside; glyceryl ether; a hydrocarbon; and water, wherein the value obtained by dividing the content of the alkyl glycoside by the content of the glyceryl ether is 3-4. Preferably the alkali is at least one selected from an alkali hydroxide, an alkali silicate and an alkali phosphate; and the hydrocarbon is a compound containing 10-18 carbon atoms. |
