<p>Radix extractor is an instrument which is made in a set and it is intended to be used in dental surgery for the extraction of fractured roots and radix relicta through the canal of the root. By means of this technique there will be considerably reduced the trauma of the adjacent tissue and the postextracting complications. The set of instruments consists of three parts: radix extractor (picture fig. 1); nut (picture fig. 2); key (picture fig. 3) with a handhold. The plugging part of radix extractor which is made according to norms (1) is being plugged to a dental micro-motor. The spiral part (6) should be screwed into the root canal and in that way it will be fixed. Then the radix extractor will be displugged from the micro-motor, the key (8) is going to be put over, and we are going to fasten the nut (7). Now we can start loosing the root. Radix extractor should be produced in differents size, because it is going to be used in dental root canals which can be different in depth and width. It is made of a metal which is unflexible and can be sterilised. Radix extractor is specially suitable for the deeply fractured roots, for which there will be applied the radixextractor with a longer spiral ending (6).</p> |
