A foreign matter eliminating device conveying material while transferring the material between an upstream side conveyor (6) and a downstream side conveyor (8) and detecting foreign matter on the upstream side conveyor by a foreign matter detector (9) during the conveying, wherein, when a detected foreign matter falls down, an eliminating air flow (R) is blown simultaneously from the row of air nozzles (13) to deflect the falling direction of foreign matter, small sized foreign matter (BS) is blown off by the eliminating air flow and fed into a foreign matter receiving box (16), whereas, large sized foreign matter (BL) runs across the eliminating air flow and falls down on a berth clean conveyor (20), and the berth clean conveyor arrests the large foreign matter fallen down thereon and discharges the foreign matter to the outside of the conveyor.
