<p>The present invention relates to a device in a baiting machine for baiting fish hooks, which device is placed in the hook's path through the baiting machine, in the area where the hook meets the bait. The object of the device is to alter the book's movement in two stages, thus ensuring that the bait is threaded on to the hook in an optimal manner, and further that the hook's point is tilted completely or almost through the bait. The baiting machine (1) consists of at least one supply device (8) for bait (6) which conveys pieces of bait (6) to a transport surface (15) for the hooks (10), which hooks (10) are pulled forward through the baiting machine (1) along the transport path (15) for the hook (10) with the hook's bend and point (13) at a distance above the transport path (15). According to the invention, on the transport path (15) for the hook (10) there is provided at least one protuberance (5) with a sloping upward path (5') in the hook's direction of movement. On two parallel transport paths (15) there are provided two parallel protuberances (5) on each of the transport paths (15) respectively.</p> |
