SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONDUCTING FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS ON AN INTERNET ENABLED ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER DEVICE

An improved system and method for conducting online financial transactions via a public communications network (14) is discussed. The system includes a web-enabled ATM connected to the public communications network and a financial service provider's web site. The method for using the system includes checking user identification for permission to access the public communications network via the web-enabled ATM, establishing a secure encrypted session between the web-enabled ATM and a financial service provider's web site over the public communications network, validating a user login to the financial services provider's web site, presenting a variety of online financial transaction options to the user at the web-enable ATM, and processing the selected transaction option over the public communications network.
