A method and an apparatus for picking up and handling each arranged part within a smaller range where the carrier moves than a conventional one for the size of the region where arranged parts are carried. Each of the arranged parts (2) carried by a carrier (6) is moved to a pickup position (C) through movement of the carrier (6) in two mutually-perpendicular part-arrangement directions X, Y, pushed up by means of a pushup pin (8), and fed to a pickup by means of a tool (3). In this case, each unit region (D1 to D4) dividedly set around the pickup position of the carrier (6) is switched to a pickup standby position (E) through rotation of the carrier (6), and then the parts (2) in the switched unit region are moved in the part-arrangement direction where the parts are arranged on the carrier (6) and fed to the pickup in order.
