A method of correcting/adjusting the phase between the pixel clock of a graphics card and the scanning rate of a flat-screen having an analog interface, requires repeated execution of an automatic adjustment or setting of the phase. The automatic phase adjustment is carried out continuously or, more specifically, periodically. The phase adjustment required for the instantaneous state of the system is only ascertained with separate pixels, and the ascertained phase adjustment is then utilised for the whole image or picture.
