The sheeting has a surface (16) with projections (15) to hold a non-woven material layer (17). The projections are at least in part formed by undercut knobs with a free thick end, which penetrates into the non-woven material when a relative movement occurs between material and synthetic seal sheeting. Thus a positive connection is formed with a force component in direction of the seal sheeting (11). Some of the thick free ends have sharp cutting edges.
