The paint roller has a bracket (1) suspended corrosion-free and non-breakable from the roller grip, and held in central position via two suspensions (3) in the roller grip (2), and by bending and deforming of two rubber plates in the housing (4). An anti-spray shield with elastic outer edges slides on grip or bracket and has a pull-off protective foil on the inside. The container is re-useable, it also has protective foil on the inside, and permits use of a roller plate floating on the paint. The plate has hollow spaces in its upper surface, which contain the correct amount of paint to be taken up by the roller.
