The camera mouse has a housing (1) enclosing a battery-operated printed circuit camera (4), with a downwards facing objective lens (5) for providing an image of written words which are illuminated by an integrated light source (6). The image information is transmitted via a radio link to a standard television receiver for displaying an enlarged image of the written words on the television screen.
