<p>The present invention is aimed at a method and a kit for identifying an individual at risk for vascular disease and cancer, the method comprising the steps of determining quantitatively the pepsinogen I (PGI) analyte concentrations in a serum sample from said individual, determining a method specific cut-off value for the said analyte, comparing the analyte concentration so determined to the method-specific cut-off value for the analyte, and determining the homocysteine concentration, in a serum sample from the individual.</p> |
