The method involves arranging a part of a case (4) delimiting an opening, where the opening provides access to a cab interior and divided by a strap. Front and rear lateral doors (8, 10) covering two parts of the opening are mounted on the case part, where the doors define a junction zone at closed state. The front lateral door is aligned with an auxiliary strike plates carried by the strap that extends on the zone. The front door is fixed with the case part by front hinges (12, 14), rear hinges (16, 18) and rear strike plates (20, 22). The strap is removed from the case part. An independent claim is also included for a body for a motor vehicle.
