PURPOSE: A fault current limiter of a contact breaker for wiring is provided to accurately implement an operation of limiting fault current with a minimum parts and to prevent an escape of a movable contact by improving a supporting structure of the movable contact. CONSTITUTION: A fault current limiter of a contact breaker for wiring comprises a main shaft(2), a main pin(3), a movable contact(4), a spring pin(5) and a torsion spring(6). The main shaft is installed to rotate interlockingly with a switching device upon manipulating of switch handle, and has opposite lateral plates. The main pin is installed as to penetrate the center portion of the lateral plates of the main shaft. The movable contact has a symmetrical structure that has a contact on its opposite sides and is coupled on the main pin to rotate about the main pin as an axis upon spacing of the contacts. The spring pin is installed through one edge side of the lateral plates. The torsion spring is installed such that one end thereof is engaged with an installing recess(4b) on one side of the movable contact and the other end thereof is engaged with an outside of the spring pin.
