A flat display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to facilitate detachment and re-attachment between a driving IC and a display panel by forming protrusion-shaped output terminals on the driving IC. A flat display device comprises a display panel for displaying an image by signals supplied through a pad part(104), and a driving IC connected to the pad part through protrusion-shaped output terminals(108,109). The driving IC includes a plurality of data and gate driving ICs(110,120). The output terminals of each of the data driving ICs are directly connected to input and output terminals of a data pad part with penetrating an adhesive(106) formed in the data pad part. The output terminals of each of the gate driving ICs are directly connected to input and output terminals of the gate pad part with penetrating an adhesive formed in the gate pad part. The adhesive is formed such that the output terminals of the driving IC are firmly pressed. |
