PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time synchronizing method capable of shortening the necessary time from power-up to the start of positioning computations. SOLUTION: In this time synchronizing method, a micro time component for time synchronization is detected by detecting the synchronization timing of spread codes of spread spectrum signals from satellites. Then after the synchronization of the spread codes is completed, the time of the border of one period of the spread codes is detected by time information provided in a receiver, and a time component larger than the micro time component for time synchronization is detected on the basis of the time of the border. Time is synchronized through the use of the detected micro time component and time component larger than the micro time component. |
