PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an optical pickup lens from being damaged by properly cleaning it when necessary, by containing plural image data for judging whether or not to perform cleaning by a cleaning member. SOLUTION: When cleaning disk is set on a device, an optical pickup lens 15 reads video manager VMG information. When 'checking lens stain' is selected from a menu picture of the video manager VGM, a moving picture with defects is reproduced in a moving picture area (1). Looking at this picture, a user can easily judge the stain of the lens 15. When the user selects 'picture was disturbed' from the menu picture in a menu area Ml, a moving picture without defects is reproduced in a moving picture area (2). When the user selects 'picture was disturbed' from a menu area M2 again, the lens 15 moves to a title area (5), and is cleaned by touching a cleaning brush 13 at the time of this moving. |
