PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LSI verification method which is suited to a system on-chip LSI by simulating the hardware data and software and comparing the simulation result of hardware data with the simulation result of software to verify the equivalence of them. SOLUTION: A processor 141 generates a test bench from the timing information and circuit information which are read out of an external memory 130, and the test bench simulates a circuit operation according to an input pattern. Then the input/output signal that is coincident with the comparison timing condition which is selected from the timing information is outputted as a simulation result. Then the processor 141 simulates the hardware to be verified and the software corresponding to the hardware and compares both simulation results with each other to verify the equivalence of them.
