<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: Not merely to prolong a carry but to exactly regulate the carry, for example, by every shaft number as well by fixing a shaft mounting pipe via a spacer made of metal to the rear surface side of a clubface member to assure the strength of the clubface. SOLUTION: The clubface member 3 and shaft mounting pipe 2 of the golf club head having the clubface member 3, a head body 1 and the shaft mounting pipe 2 are formed as separate bodies. The spacer 4 is welded by a weld zone 7 between the rear surface side 6 of the clubface member 3 and the shaft mounting pipe 2. The clubface member 3, the head body 1 and the haft mounting pipe 2 are integrated by welding. The spacer 4 consists of a metallic blank having a Young's modulus of 7 to 12 GPa. Also, the spacer 4 consist of pure titanium and the spacer 4 consists of anαtype titanium alloy or anαβtype titanium alloy.</p> |
