<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make housing of an airbag lightweight and compact, and further, to fabricate a joining part of suspender string to the base cloth strong, by specifying the fabrication shape and fabrication condition of suspender string. SOLUTION: As for an airbag, bag body is made of textile of less than 200 denier that has a mesh of less than 150 g/m2. And in one side of base cloth, a wide fixed part in suspender string is sutured, and the edge of thin string body of suspender strings is sutured to the other side. Further, the sutured part of fixed part 11 to the base cloth is composed of a stitch line including the crosscut part that is nearly in parallel with the direction to intersect the longitudinal direction of a string part 10, and the first seam A suturing fixed part 11 and air bag main body in one piece, is combined with the second seam B that is sutured at the site where the tension from suspender strings does not reach directly, while a hot gas from inflator is shut down against the sutured part of base cloth side of the first same A. In this way, an air bag that is lightweight, that bears impulse force in expansion sufficiently, and that has a high safety and high reliability can be prepared.</p> |
