PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut for a suspension device for a vehicle which is improve in the attaching rigidity to the vehicle without increasing the number of members. SOLUTION: A strut type suspension which is fastened to a car body member 18 via an upper support part 16 comprises a spring 22 as an elastic element and a shock absorber 10 as a vibration damping element. A nut 20 which is used in the strut type suspension to fasten the suspension to the vehicle member 18 has such a height that it uniformizes the stress on a joined surface.
