PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster safe and easy for operation which keeps the solenoid actuation type brake. SOLUTION: For example, a caster with a brake is installed behind a base frame of a rising spare chair. The caster is compounded by both a caster body 24 and a solenoid built-in anchor 26. The anchor 26 has plungers making up-and- down motion against a bracket, and the plunges make up-and-down motion all at once by ON/OFF switching. In a caster frame 28, freely oscillating hook 64 is installed. The hook 64 has a protruding part in the shaft direction from the caster frame 28, and when the protruding part is engaged and disengaged to an irregularity part, a caster wheel 32 becomes an engaging status with restricted rotation and a non-engaging status with unrestricted rotation against the caster frame 28.
