PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the sealability of a joining place. SOLUTION: In a resin pipe sealing method wherein resin pipes 200 having chevron-shaped ribs 202 spirally formed thereto continuously are abutted and the joining flanges of both ends of the resin pipes are mutually tightened by a band, the troughs 201 between the chevron-shaped ribs 202 present at a region narrower than the effective width of the band are partially filled with a filling members 1 comprising a closed-cell or semi-closed-cell slightly harder foam material so that the cross-sectional area of each of the filling members 1 becomes 0.9-2 times that of the each through 201 between the chevron-shaped ribs 202 and a foam sheet 2 having a size 2A applied to the inner surface thereof is wound around the pipe end parts so as to cover the filling members 1 to join the resin pipes.
