PATH CONNECTION CHANGE-OVER DEVICE, NETWORK SYSTEM AND NETWORK CONNECTION CHANGE-OVER METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To utilize a system as not only a repeater but also a bridge and even as a leaf node without internal connection by changing-over repeater connection and non-connection between a plurality of bus connecting parts. SOLUTION: The two port/portals P1 and P2 of an automatic repeater/bridge change-over device 1 are not connected when the both of a repeater fabric 7 with a switch and a bridge fabric 8 with a switch are in an off state. The device 1 is operated as the repeater since PHYs 2 and 3 are connected in a state where the switch of the repeater fabric 7 is on and the switch of the bridge fabric 8 is off. LINKs 4 and 5 are connected when the switch of the fabric 7 is off and the switch of the fabric 8 is on so that the device 1 is operated as the bridge.
