<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming method by which an irregular electrification of a conductive brush is restrained in a non-magnetic one-component developing system equipped with an electrifying device using the conductive brush by setting the roundness of toner to be used within a specified range. SOLUTION: The roundness of the toner to be used is 0.92 to 0.98 in this image forming method where a toner image is formed by the non-magnetic one-component developing system by applying voltage to the conductive brush, uniformly electrifying a photoreceptor while bringing the conductive brush into contact with the photoreceptor, and exposing it to form an electrostatic latent image. In the method, the length of the minor axis of an exposing spot on the photoreceptor is set to 10 to 60μm. The surface roughness of a developing roller is <=20μm. In an electrifying brush electrifier to be used, an electrifying brush 2 is formed as a rotary type one by winding brush-like substance obtained by weaving conductive fibers 5 in a piled state round a conductive base part 6 round a stainless bar having a specified diameter and then cutting the fibers to a specified length, and tilting the edges of the fibers.</p> |
