PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize special shape data passed from a CAD device by a CAM device. SOLUTION: Special shape data of three-dimensional CAD data which require special machining are converted to a special size of a circular hole shape of, for example, <=1/10 mm which is not normally used in the designing of the three-dimensional CAD device 10 by referring to a special shape conversion table 20. Then when the three-dimensional CAD data are expanded to generate CAM data for NC machining, the special hole size in sheet plate expanded data is searched for and the searched special hole size is allocated to the original special shape data by referring to the special shape conversion table 20.
