PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing the subject green glass with moderate transparency as a glass through utilizing glass cullet of mixed color which has not been much used as a glass recycling material so far. SOLUTION: This method for producing soda lime silica-based glass of green color using, as the main material, glass cullet of mixed color predominant in color other than white and brown among all glass cullet, comprises using >=80 wt.%, in terms of the whole wt.% after vitrification, of cullet of mixed color containing 0.07-0.15 wt.% of chromium oxide and 0.07-0.20 wt.% of iron oxide and incorporating vanadium oxide at 0.5-2.0 wt.% calculated as V2O5 in a glass so as to block ultraviolet light with a wavelength region of 310-400 nm.
