PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost for manufacturing a press having different distance and time characteristic according to the movement of a ram. SOLUTION: In a press line of a press for solid pressing using a bell crank transmission 7 to drive a ram 3, the distance-time characteristic curve of the ram with different stroke and different movement is achieved by a non-pressed parts of a unified standard. The gauge dimension, i.e., the bearing position of the bell crank transmission 7 of a machine frame 2 is constant within the whole press line, and the uniform machine frame 2 can be used at least in this range. A desired special distance-time change can be achieved by appropriately and finely pressing a non-pressed structural parts (an off-centered body, a connecting rod and a joint bar).
