PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partial repairing method for coating film, by which the repairing can be easily performed so that the outside appearance and the look of a repaired part and a dust part around the repaired part are made to be the same as those of a repaired coating film, and a thinner for repairing. SOLUTION: This repairing method comprises a process for grinding a part to be repaired, a process for applying a repairing coating material to the ground part, and a process for hardening the resultant repaired coating film. In addition, this method is provided with a process for applying a thinner for repairing, which contains a surfactant, to a dust part of the coating material, which is generated in the process for applying the repairing coating material.
