PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bag for over tree wintering of medium late ripening citrus fruits having characteristics in aspects of closing properties of upper and lower openings when wrapping a relatively large-sized fruit and further aspects of waterproofness, frost protection and durability, etc., and especially capable of well making the fruits winter on a tree and providing good protection and growth promotion of the fruits. SOLUTION: This bag for over tree wintering of medium late ripening citrus fruits is obtained by carrying out false twist texturing of chemical fibers having 1-10 denier single filament fineness, imparting stretchability thereto, knitting the resultant raw yarns into a tubular knitted fabric bag and then conducting heat treatment while twisting the tubular knitted fabric bag in the longitudinal direction at 1-40 times per meter and water repellent finishing. The resultant bag has many wrinkles and water repellency on the knitted fabric.
