摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress the deterioration at a high electric current density by composing a fluorescent substance composition of sulfide-based fluorescent particles and electroconductive particles sticking to the surfaces thereof. SOLUTION: Electroconductive particles preferably have a smaller particle diameter than that of sulfide-based fluorescent substance particles. Zinc oxide is especially preferred as a cor7stituent material of the electroconductive particles. In order to obtain a fluorescent substance composition, a precursor of the electroconductive substance is made to stick to the surfaces of the fluorescent substance particles in a dispersion medium containing the sulfide-based fluorescent substance particles dispersed therein and the precursor is converted into the electroconductive substance. Thereby, the electroconductive particles can readily be made to stick to the surfaces of the fluorescent substance particles. The precursor can be made to stick to the surfaces of the fluorescent substance particles in a thin state by using the precursor obtained according to a liquid-phase reaction in the dispersion medium. For example, water is used as the dispersion medium and the precursor comprising a zinc salt containing oxygen atoms is made to stick to the fluorescent substance particles. The zinc salt can be baked and converted into the electroconductive particles comprising the zinc oxide.
