PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always supply an appropriate amount of lubricating oil to an oil seal in the case that one end part of a camshaft journalled to a cylinder head is projected to the outer side of a case by being passed through the case, a sprocket around which a timing chain is wound is arranged in the part of the camshaft which is located adjacently to the inside of the case, and the oil seal is mounted in a part where one end part of the camshaft is passed through the case. SOLUTION: An oil contact part 22 having a laterally extended lower surface is arranged in the part of a baffle plate 17 to cover the approximately upper half of a sprocket, which is located on a front side in the rotating direction of the sprocket, and lubricating oil which is dispersed from a timing chain and collected on the lower surface of the oil contact part 22 is supplied to an oil seal 15 along an oil introducing piece 23.
