PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating mechanism for a gas stove, capable of simple operation by users such as elderly person or a physically disabled person or the like and simultaneously reducing noise and improving thermal efficiency. SOLUTION: An ignition, thermal power regulation and fire extinguishment are conducted by only rotating knobs 2, 3, and ignition by the rotation is set to an intermediate thermal power positions for cooking appliance burners 11, 12.
