PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment and a method of treating oily drain, which can correspond to kitchen drain containing various oils and fats properly and by which the decomposition efficiency of oils and fats can be maintained at a high value and the seed-bacteria purchase cost of oil-fat decomposition bacteria and a storage space can be reduced. SOLUTION: Oils and fats are biologically decomposed and treated by supplying oil-fat decomposition bacteria from a surface-active agent and/or a surface- active agent feeder 20, feeding an impurity removing section 2, in which a strainer 5 separating impuities in drain is installed, an oil-fat treating section 3 floating and separating oils and fats in drain from the impurity removing section 2 and biologically decomposing oils and fats by oil-fat decomposition bacteria and the oil-fat treating section 3 for a grease trap 1, on which a trap section in which drain from the oil-fat treating section 3 is stored and discharged is mounted, with air from a diffuser 40.
