PURPOSE: A reflective wide viewing angle LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to realize a wide viewing angle by installing a quarter wave plate and a reflective plate. CONSTITUTION: A reflective LCD comprises a first substrate(11), a second substrate(12) symmetric to the first substrate and spacing apart from the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer(15) formed between the interfaces of the first and second substrates, a polarization plate(18) formed on the non-facing surface, a quarter wave plate(17) formed between the non-facing surface and the polarization plate, orientation films(19,20) formed on respective interfaces of the first and second substrates, and a reflective plate(16) formed on one of the interfaces or the non-facing surface. A pixel electrode(13) and a counter electrode(14) for driving liquid crystal are formed in one or different parts. When forming electric fields(E1,E2) in the pixel electrode and the counter electrode, at least two domains are formed in the liquid crystal layer. Therefore, complete darkness and whiteness are realized without an optical correction film.
