PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microstrip antenna which is inexpensive and also can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: A ground electrode 21 and a patch electrode 22 supported so as to face each other through a dielectric layer are provided, the electrode 22 has a reactance loading pattern where the widths of its start edge and end edge along the direction in which current flows are larger than that of its central part and each of interior angle edge is shaped with a continuous smooth curve.
