PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an element superior in the photoelectric converting efficiency in a wide wavelength zone from visible light to infrared ray by including semiconductor fine particles sensitized by a specific metallic complex pigment. SOLUTION: This photoelectric converting element includes semiconductor fine particles sensitized by a metallic complex pigment represented by a formula: (LL1)m1(X1)m2M1(BL)M2(LL2)m3(X2)m4.CI. In the formula, M1, M2 are metallic atom; BL is a ligand of tridentate coordination; LL1, LL2 are didentate or tridentate ligand represented by a formula I [Za, Zb, Zc are a group of non-metallic atoms necessary for completing five or six membered ring; (c) is 0 or 1]; X1, X2 are each an acyloxy group, an acylthio group or an alkoxy group or the like, or unidentate or didentate ligand coordinated by a halogen atom, carbonyl or thio urea or the like; m1, m3 are each 0 or 1, m2, m4 are each 1, 2, 3 or the like; CI is counter ion neutralizing electric charge. Preferably M1 and M2 are independently Ru, Fe, Os or Cu. For example, a metallic complex pigment represented by formula II or the like can be used. |
