PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accident detecting system in which ultrasonic waves generated due to the accident such as the crack, the plastic deformation or the like of a prescribed easily adjustable object are detected and in which the position or the like of the crack or the plastic deformation of the object is detected. SOLUTION: In this system, a plurality of detecting elements 3 which detect ultrasonic waves generated due to the accident of an object 2 are constituted of elements which are equipped with transmitting functions which transmit ultrasonic waves by electric signals inputted from the side of their output ends 3a. The plurality of detecting elements 3 are arranged with reference to the object 2. Changeover devices 4 by which the detecting elements 3 are changed over to a detecting operation state and a transmitting operation state are interposed and installed between the detecting elements 3 and the side of a processor 7 which specifies the accident of the object 2 on the basis of detection signals of the detecting elements 3. |
