PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a digital copying machine that can obtain an image output with high definition at a high-speed by applying different image processing to image data of an original read from itself and image data obtained externally. SOLUTION: The digital copying machine is provided with an image input means 1 that reads the image of an original to obtain image data in response to this image, an external input means 2 that receives image data from the outside of the digital copying machine, an image processing means 3 that applies image processing to the image data obtained from the image input means 1 or the external input means 2, and an image forming means 4 that forms an image based on the image data processed by the image processing means 3. The image processing means 3 applies different image processing to the image data obtained from the image input means 1 and the image data obtained from the external input means 2.
