PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for collecting saw dust remaining on the top of an undercut circular sawing machine which has many problems yet to be solved from the viewpoint of the quality and cost of a product, the safety of operation, operating environments and also the circumstances of social life. SOLUTION: A hood 5 (called 'canopy') of a box-type or a round slender cylinder with slender or continuous holes formed on the lower face and the side face and/or the end face (both ends or one end), is installed on the top of the undercut circular sawing machine. In addition, a cushioning material 6 is provided in a skirt fashion around the lower part of the hood 5.
