A super-resolution optical recording medium is provided to improve the quality of reproduction signal by forming uniform recording marks. A super-resolution optical recording medium comprises a recording layer(40) and a reproduction layer(60). The recording layer is made of metallic material and at least one of Si, Ge, and Sn. The reproduction layer includes one of nonlinear optical material, thermochromic material, and phase-change material so as to perform super-resolution reproduction when light is illuminated on the recording layer. The metallic material includes more than one of Ag, Al, Au, W, Mn, Pt, Ti, Zr, V, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Pd, Sb, Ta, In, Cu, Sn, Te, Zn, and Bi. |
