PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an odorless termite-extermination agent safe to human body and natural environment, exhibiting slow action and enabling the extermination of termite even by using the agent at a paint distant from the nest of termite by including a bis-quaternary ammonium salt compound as an active component. SOLUTION: The objective termite-extermination agent contains a bis- quaternary ammonium salt compound of formula [R1 is a 1-18C alkyl or a 3-18C alkenyl; R2 is H, OH, amino, a 1-6C alkyl or a 1-3C alkoxy; R3 is a 1-18C alkylene, a 4-18C alkenylene or a (substituted) phenylene or xylylene; Y1 is NHCO, CONH, NHCS, COO, COS, O or S; Y2 is CONH, NHCO, CSNH, OOC, SOC, O or S; X- is an anion] [e.g. 4,4'-(tetramethylenedicarbonyldiamino)bis(1- decylpyridinium bromide) as an active component. The application amount of the compound of formula is preferably about 0.01-100 g/m2.
