<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly locate a base station suitable for communications among a plurality of base stations. SOLUTION: A GPS reception circuit 31 of this communication system receives radio waves from a GPS satellite to detect the current position. A storage section 3 stores in advance the information of respective positions of a plurality of base stations and scramble codes. A position/scramble code conversion circuit 32 retrieves the information of the respective positions of one or plurality of the base stations and the scramble codes in existence in the vicinity, on the basis of detected data P (x, y) of a current position. The information of the scramble codes is fed to a scramble code generating circuit 28, which generates a scramble code CODE corresponding to the information of each scramble code and gives it to a correlation arithmetic circuit 24. The correlation arithmetic circuit 24 obtains a correlation value R between I and Q components, obtained by receiving a radio wave coming from the base stations and the scramble code CODE. A scramble code discriminating circuit 29 discriminates the base station, corresponding to the scramble code CODE to be a base station suitable for communication, when the correlation value R is suitable for the communications.</p> |
