The fascia (10) has an air bag module placed below an opening closed by a shutter (20) which includes a front edge near a windscreen (16) of a motor vehicle. The shutter is maintained by a travel stop (22) such that the shutter is remote from the fascia, while delimiting spaces towards front from a side of the windscreen and towards rear, towards passenger, and between the shutter and the fascia, when the shutter is pushed by an air bag. The module has pockets (24, 26) deployed by passing between the shutter and the fascia from the sides of the windscreen and the passenger, respectively.
